What are the office hours?

What are the gate access hours after I have rented a unit?

At Sunny Day Self Storage, you have access to your unit daily from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

What if I entered my gate code and the gate won't open to let me out of the facility?

The emergency exit code is 1960.

Is this storage facility clean?

We are brand new and super clean.

Where do I park when I arrive?

When you arrive and the gate is not open, please call Donna at 888-918-9800 or text Donna at 908-217-5183. If you arrive to the facility and the gate is open please drive through the first entrance before the large sign and park to the left of the office.

Will my belongings be safe?

At Sunny Day Self Storage we pride ourselves in maintaining a safe place for customers items. We have security cameras throughout the site. We have a key pad for customers to enter their secure gate code before entering the site.

What are my late fees?

1-4 days late there is no fee. On the 5th day the first fee is 10 dollars. On the 20th day the second fee is 20 dollars.

Is there a fee for using my credit card to pay my storage bill?

No, we will never charge you a fee to process a payment for your storage bill.

Do you charge an adminstrative fee?

No, we will never charge you an adminstrative fee.

What if I have called Donna and there is no answer?

If you have called 888-918-9800 and you have texted 908-217-5183 and still do not have reached Donna, you may call or text KC at 908-334-7535 anytime.

Can I park my RV onsite?

No, we do not allow RV's to be onsite, however if you ask Donna about Warehouse Depot, she can point you in the right direction!

What happens if I moved into my new unit and I discovered I have too many things?

We can rent you a larger unit and apply the payment you made to the larger unit! This happens all the time!

What do you do for pest control?

We have a professional pest control service, however we ask you to do your best to not attract critters.



How do I pay my storage bill?

Pay your storage bill online using a debit or credit card, in person, via phone and mail. We accept the following credit cards; Visa, Discover, American Express and MasterCard. We also offer our customers the ability to put their storage bill on AutoPay free of charge.

Who should I make the check payable to?

You can make the check payable Sunny Day Self Storage.
What does drive-up access mean?
Drive-up access means you can drive your vehicle right up to your storage unit on the ground level. No hallways or stairs to deal with!

What does drive-through access mean?

Drive-through access means you can drive your vehicle right up to your storage unit on the ground level on both sides of your unit. You will have two doors to your unit so you will have to have two locks. This is convenient for those who need to acess their items from both sides of their unit.

What documentation do I need to rent a unit?

A valid form of photo government-issued ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID. We need a vaild mailing address for you. We also need an alternate contact and a smiling face!

What items am I not allowed to store?

Perishables, plants, animals, stolen or illegal goods, flammable or hazardous items, combustible items, or liquids. Some exceptations may apply.

Will my rent change once I move in?

Aside from our Grand Opening Specials, your standard monthly rate will stay the same for 1 year after you move in.

What do I do with the trash in my unit?

If you have trash you need to dispose of it off-site. There is a transfer station located at 700 Five Points Road Port St Joe Florida. They are open from Monday - Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm. If you need to contact them directly please call 850-229-1145.

What is the speed limit while on the property.

We ask that you do not drive above 5 miles per hour for the safety of our other customers who might be moving in and out of their unit.

What if I need to use the restroom while onsite?

We have an outside restroom you may use with permission of owner.

Can I bring my Dog to my unit with me while I am moving items around?

Yes but we ask you to have them on a leash at all times.

Do I have to purchase insurance for my storage unit?

Call Donna at 888-918-9800 for more information.

Can I have a copy of my lease?

Yes, ask Donna when you rent your unit if she can provide you with a signed lease copy if she has not already done so!
